Mr. Vega-Albela is responsible for planning, developing, implementing and managing the overall business marketing strategy of the company across all media and social platforms. This includes market research, pricing, product marketing, communications, advertising and public relations.
Before becoming a principal at Āina Worldwide, Mr. Vega spent over 18 years as President and CEO of Hacienda de Vega Restaurants, a group of full-service, casual dining eateries in San Diego, California. In his role, he was responsible for all financial, marketing, and operational aspects of three business units generating annual revenues in excess of $3.8 million dollars.
Alonso’s areas of expertise include new business and product development, strategic planning, marketing and operations.
During his early career, Alonso served as an executive or senior consultant with private and public companies in the technology, communications, hospitality, gaming and film/television industries. His client list included high profile companies such as Epson America, Inc, NTN Communications (AMEX:NTN), Quisic, Inc. (formerly University Access, Inc.), and Gaming Systems International & Hotel Information Systems, which are subsidiaries of MAI Systems (AMEX: NOW).
